Showtime 26st/27th Of September

Hello again,

as always we’ll announce one “retro track” in the show but we can call it a “retro show” because we have a couple of remakes and remixes this weekend.
I would not call “Stay Around” a retro track, let’s call it a house classic. Milk & Sugar now released a couple of new remixes, my favourite is the Spencer & Hill remix.
The first real retro track is a remake of ”Let The Sunshine In” from - like they called it in 1968 - ”The american tribal love-rock musical smash” ‘Hair‘. It’s gospel time…
Ministry Of Funk’sThe Dancer” samples “He’s The Greatest Dancer” by Sister Sledge and the Freestylers are using Cameo’s smash “Word Up“.
Cahill teamed up again with Nikki Belle to release two new tracks on 3 Beat Blue, the first one we have in the show is “Sex Shooter“,  a remake of the 1984 hit single by Prince’s protege Apollonia 6. Track 2 will be on air next weekend…
Michael Mind had his first huge success in Germany with the release of “Blinded By The Light“, a remake of the Manfred Mann’s Earthband hit (written by Bruce Springsteen by the way!). At time he is in the German Dance Top Ten with another remake, this time it is Robin S’Show Me Love“. The Gap 4 Remix is perfect!
Time to party now, enjoy the show!

Weekend Warm Up Show 19th/20st Of September

Hello Party People,

after a knee surgery I am not allowed to move my leg very much - what is pretty hard while working on a show with plenty of superb new dance music…
In 2006 Jody Watley released her last album called “The Makeover“. Now we will listen to a new single release from this album (A Beautiful Life“) with a couple of remixes, the Love To Infinty mix is the one I feel the most. Looks like the guys from LTI never fail…
Two years ago four sassy, sexy, sultry singers from the suburbs of Sydney, Australia named Rachel, Amanda, Emily and Natalie put their names and collective talents together to form RAEN (pronounced Rain). After a lot of success with their debut album in the land Down Under RAEN are currently on a promotional tour throughout the UK. With some success too - in the UK Music Week Charts the first single ”Drama Fanatics” was No 4 in the Breakers Chart and No.6 in the Mainstream Chart. We’ll have their next single release “Honey” on air, remixed by 7th Heaven
Believe it or not - my favourite track this week was originally released in 1970 by The Osmonds! Does anyone remember them beside me? I am getting old… “One Bad Apple” by Confused Crew will be released in October at Hard2Beat with an excellent Uniting Nations remix - glad that they are back, didn’t hear much of them after “Do It Yourself” last year.
2 from 1 - the happy hour for party people is back this week! Stonebridge teamed up with polands dynamic duo Wawa to release “Let It Go”. Both of them made a remix, both of them are great! So we will start with the Stonebridge mix and blend into the Wawa mix after around 3 min..
There is so much more, a new Ultra Nate, StarLab/Peyton with a remake of “Shine On Me”, another great Moto Blanco remix…
Feel free to listen and groove please, I will sit on my sofa while being jealous. ;-)

Party Time Again - WUPS 12th/13th Of September

Hey Party People,

the Weekend Warm Up Show is a world wide party with stations and listeners from all over the world as well as artists and producers/remixers from many different countries. We all have at least one thing in common: we LOVE good dance tracks, and we’ll have plenty of them again this weekend!
My favourite is coming from an U.S. artist with a remix from the U.K.: Sylvia Tosun’s ‘Underlying Feeling’ is already on No.2 at the DMC World House and UK Club Charts. The Soulshaker mix is perfect, beautiful vocals, great track!
Phats & Small are responsible for many classic dance tracks like ‘Turn Around’ or ‘Sun Comes Out’. Russel Small is now part of the Freemasons and Jason “Phats” Hayward will release ‘Can’t Stop’ as a solo single with a piano driven remix by “The Fonz” Fonzerelli.
It has been called Ibiza’s secret tune - Henry John Morgan’s ‘Cherokee’ is one of the most impressive anthems to grace us this year and it’s coming hot off the plane from Italy via the world renowned stable - Oxyd Records.
Top swiss artist Kevin Kay presents his first release in our show this weekend; a powerful vocal house track in the vein of Masters at Work, M People or Moloko. Kevin Kay has already achieved great collaborations with Grooveprofessor (Jennifer Paige, Jamie Lewis, Barbara Tucker), Torsten Stenzel (Moby, Faithless, All Saints, Vanessa Mae), Mazzi Sounds (Greis, Baze, Wurzel 5, Stress) & Andy Prinz (Offshore Music, Street Parade, York, DJ Tatana).
Fans of Eternal Sunshine and loyal listeners of the show might know that ‘Beautify Me’ was already part of the show almost one year ago as a unsigned track. GKF Records now signed and released this funky beauty - I am really happy with them and hope that these extremely talentet guys from London will have the success they deserve!
Hope we’ll all have a funky party weekend!
