Weekend Warm Up 27th/28th Of June

Hi again,

one day later as usual (because I am a year older now and I had to watch the football (soccer) quaterfinals yesterday) here is the next show for you.

We’ll have eleven great tracks and two of them are my favourites, No.1 is the first all-new Strictly Rhythm production in five years. And fittingly, main man Todd Terry just happens to be the first name producer to ever record with the label back in 1990. Even better, another two Strictly veterans in Kenny Dope and DJ Sneak are also back on the block. Completing the all-star line-up are Terry Hunter, a Chicago producer and DJ of no mean repute, and Tara McDonald, the voice of Armand Van Helden’sMy My My’ and Axwell’sFeel The Vibe’. In a time of crunching electronic grooves and ever more bleepy electro, ‘Get Down’ feels like the first sunrays of spring, an old-school vocal with the pedigree of the finest uplifting, uptempo dance music. Pete Tong has already given it two spins on his radio show and others are clambering to get a piece of the action. Todd, Kenny, Sneak, Terry and Tara: we salute you.
The other one is coming from a lose group of producers, remixers, singers, musicians songwriters called ‘Connected’ who communicate, create and produce via the web. With perfect vocals by ‘Max C’, this song moves people, it’s in the melody and the words and the Fonzerelli mix brings that interesting fusion of the electronic backing track crossing with a soulful vocal. “A Feeling” has in fact had many mix treatments through bootlegs and remixes over the past 3 years that has made it an anthem in many different arenas. So now, with the perfect rendition and killer new mixes, the summer of 2008 will be all about “A Feeling”.
Enjoy the show and your weekend!

Hello Party People,

I’m back with some fresh new party tracks for this coming weekend. Let’s warm the weekend up with the latest release from Italy’s Samuele Sartini who teamed up with Jordan Dee and CeCe Rodgers to create a wonderful vocal house track - “Let’s Get Back The Feeling” is my favourite this weekend!

Unreleased at time is the new Peyton song “Lost & Found”. Nice song, maybe not the best production in my opinion but the voice of the ’son of a preacher man’ is incredible good!
Since their success with “Trippin’ On You” the guys from Cahill are pretty busy with remixing tracks - and they are doing really good! Listen to two of their latest remixes this weekend :Natural Born Grooves’Candy On The Dancefloor” (No.1 on the DMC World House Charts this weekend!) and Rochelle’s “Fer Le Dance“.

Weekend Warm Up #42 6th/7th Of June

Hello Party People,
she’s back - the Queen of disco Donna Summer made a new album called “Crayons“, as a pre-release “I’m A Fire” was on top of the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Charts, now we will listen to her first official single release  “Stamp Your Feet” - and this track will burn up the dance floors! Hoooooot!!! Definately my favourite this week!
“The Fonz” Fonzerelli gave the recent Robbie Rivera outing “Back To Zero” a nice uplifting commercial remix - 100% party!
Also highly recommended: the new Bassmonkeys remix of Antigone’s “More Man Than Man”. If you don’t know Antigone, this is what I found about her in a music blog: “Antigone is genuinely one of those rare talents who will make you wet your panties. This cool chick has a vision, a message and a dance beat that will keep you rocking for hours after midnight.” Do I have to write more? Already recommended by Mark Doyle (Fierce Angels) or DJ Meme to name a few.
In 1993 Robin S had a big chart success with a song called “Show Me Love”. A couple of new remixes are out now and my favourite is coming from Matt and Warren Meyers aka Soulshaker.
11 perfect party tracks in the mix - what a great way to start the weekend! Enjoy!
